Ski Success for Amy

13th December 2021Alana Whenary

Y12 student Amy Stokoe has been recently selected for the English Schools’ Ski Association Training Senior Squad First Team 2021-2022 and has been in Italy training for the last 2 weeks.

This weekend Amy competed in FIS giant slalom and slalom races races in Alpe Cermis in the Dolomites competing with women from all over the world.

Amy was the fastest British racer in giant slalom. Giant slalom is not her main discipline as she is only able to train for this abroad and has been unable to be in the mountains much these last 21 months. She was the 2nd fastest Briton on Sunday, finishing 30th on a tough course where half the field didn’t finish the first run.

This is a fantastic achievement and we wish her every success!
