We’re offering a limited number of Apprentice Trial places at Stobhillgate, Morpeth, Wylam and Stocksfield Explorers for individuals who are passionate about early years and want to begin or continue their journey into childcare. This trial gives candidates the chance to spend time in our setting, meet the team, and show us their potential. Successful applicants may be offered a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years Apprenticeship, depending on experience, readiness and performance during the trial.

At Explorers, we believe in nurturing curiosity, celebrating individuality and learning through nature. Our Forest School ethos means children and staff spend lots of time outdoors, exploring, creating and connecting.

What we’re looking for

• A genuine interest in working with young children
• Confidence to join an active workforce
• Warmth, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Reliability, good communication and a positive attitude
• An interest in outdoor learning and nature‑rich environments

What the Apprentice Trial involves

• Spending time in the nursery supporting play and routines
• Observing and engaging in high‑quality interactions
• Demonstrating curiosity, initiative and professionalism
• Showing us your potential to grow within the Explorers team
